As good as that all sounds,I think it would take up more time that we've already wasted toying around the idea of seriousness, and hinder our progress in it. Because,as you said,we'd have to make beginning stats, and who knows how many RP characters we have here?! I still agree wit this idea, but I say if we're gonna do it,we start like..NOW.

That's what we've been doing though. o___o; I mean, we already came up with a pretty solid beginning so THAT's out of the way- Eva was kind enough to post up a site that used a stat system so if everyone is okay with using a similar sort of system, just say so. XD So we can get this show on the road. I mean, ya'll need to give feedback, I can't just snap my fingers and make a decision! That'd be unfair. XD
So if you guys like it and want to do it- go fix up your character profiles and add a beginning stat to it!

Well I've read through it and... it's a huge text wall to me. Can someone give a summary?

Summary of the stuff in the link? .3. If that's what you mean then all it's saying as far as levels n' experience go- depending on the location of creatures and their levels, that's how much experience you get.
Like- say you go into Toad Town and run into a Goomba, that could be a lv 4 Goomba, and that particular area is a weak sort of area so it only credits out to 2 in difficulty. So when you defeat the goomba in that area you'd get 2 x 4 = 8 exp
And levels is basically how they put it. From 1-10 you need 100 exp to advance every time, 11-20 you need 200, and so on.
I hope that made sense~ KD

I sort of get it then. Since Goombas are at level 4, does everyone start at 5 then?

Actually if you're just starting in an area- unless your character has had any PREVIOUS like, adventuring experience- you could just say so anyways, I think all the newbie characters to fighting would be at level one- and seeing as how you gain stuff from killing stronger stuff then yourself, the more you kill, the faster you level up, thusly the stronger you get if I make ANY sense.

I was just saying a Goomba was at level 4 as a random number, KD Their levels could vary between a certain range, like- from 1-6 or so. And I think Cookeh's right, we should probably start out at Lv 1 c:

Oh I see. Just another question, but should certain move affect experience? Like for example, if a Yoshi of some sort ate a goomba, he'd win the fight but not gain any experience for not defeating it properly?

Oh no- I don't think that would effect it. Using special moves wouldn't lessen the EXP gained. At least I don't think RPG's work that way.

No, I was just thinking that maybe stuff like 1-hit KO moves should affect it, or scaring off foes since it'd be too cheap to use it all the time.

I think that instead of abusing special 1 hit KO moves, they should only work on CERTAIN enemies, but not all, to make it fair. Like on BOSSES, obviously they wouldn't work.

Well bosses obviously. The only other idea I have regarding it is maybe having a limit of some sort (like energy for some moves, or belly capacity for the eating ones. That way maybe if the limit's succeeded the character could end up with some negative affect (like being weighed down, lowered attack or something depending on the character. Also said limit could increase by one with every ten levels or something.

I really like the idea for the levels and those things, like a real game, it would be pretty ineteresting, wan But it would be pretty messy at first, if you ask me,how are we going to start with the levels, and HP, attack, defense, etc? And would the characters be in groups or alone, who would control the enemies and who would be the boss, and how would the villains level up IF they were to be the bosses, wan?
