This fanfic was something I wrote about a month after me and Phara started RPing, so many of the koopalings attitudes changed a bit. Mostly Morton's, anyways this basically took place sometime in the past at one of the points when me and her "lapsed" time to speed the plot up a bit :B In any case I hope you enjoy~
Out at Bowser's Castle.....
"LEMME GO ROY! D<" Jr shouted at the top of his lungs as he flailed back and fourth dangling from his ponytail in Roy's grasp. Roy snickered as he tauntingly flicked the end of Jr's nose. "Aww, idn't that cute? The boy actually thinks that I'll let go~" Behind Roy stood Morton, laughing hysterically at Jr's torment. Roy grinned devilishly as he walked over towards a pit of lava down in the prison cells. Jr's eyes grew wide before he quickly clung for dear life on Roy's arm "OK DUN LEMME GO, DUN LEMME GO!!" Roy simply laughed at him. "But I thought you said you wanted me to drop you~" "I CHANGE MY MIND! ono;;" Jr shouted in a panicked reply.
"Ocourse you did~" Roy said blankly, before shaking his arm rapidly over the orange glop of death. Jr started to wail in dismay as Morton couldn't contain his laughter. He was rolling along the floor with his face bright red. Jr's grip started to loosen, something he really had hoped wouldn't happen. He began to scream louder until suddenly their young red headed servant Evalyn arrived at the doorway. "Do you to mind not YELLING AT 4 IN THE MORNING?? T~T" She said in an irritated tone. She approached Roy and kicked him in the shin causing him to drop Jr as she caught him in her arms.
"AWWW, Whadaya gotta go n' do that afor??" Morton said in dismay. Roy was trying desperately to hold back a scream of sheer agony as he clung to his bruised leg. Evalyn just glared right into Morton's eyes, causing him to shrink back out of fear. Jr was shivering in terror in her arms as she simply stroked the back of his head. Morton snuck out of the room so he was already long gone, but Roy was still wincing in pain, and Evalyn glared at him angrily as she herself decided to leave and head towards her room. "Bitch" Roy muttered under his breath.
"MY BROTHERS ARE A BUNCH OF MEANIE HEADS D<" He shouted, pouting on Evalyn's shoulder as she approached her doorway. "Whad ya do to tick Roy off in the first place? :T" Jr lifted his face from her arm for a moment. "I didn't do anything! Roy's the one who came in at decided to play 'Hangman' with me over the lava pit!! D<" Evalyn sighed to herself as she just passed her doorway. "Uh.. Your room is that way." Jr said pointing behind her. "I know, I'm taking you to your room :B" She replied. Jr looked about ready to pout, somewhat panicked looking. "I don't wanna go back in THERE, who knows what else those screwballs'll do to me when I'm all alone!" He looked as if he was quivering.
Evalyn couldn't help herself but feel sorry for him as she turned back and entered her own bedroom with Jr still cradled in her arms. She tossed him abruptly onto her bed as she rummaged through her closet for something. Jr peered over at her out of curiosity. "Watcha looking for?" "A sleeping bag." She replied groggily. Jr scratched his head for a moment. "Why'd you wanna sleep in a bag??" Evalyn glared over her shoulder at him. "What did you think I was gonna do, sleep on the bed with you?" Jr began to pout again as he nodded. Evalyn slapped herself on the forehead as she silently shut the door on her closet, and shoved Jr over to the other side so she could sleep as far away from him as possible. She clicked the lamp off that sat just next to her. "Now just go to sleep~" She muttered half awake. Jr groped the end of the blanket he was holding, as he slowly scooted over next to her and rubbed against her backside. Evalyn pushed him away somewhat irritated, as she's not much of a morning person. Dismayed, Jr curled up at the other end whimpering. The more Jr cried for attention from her, the more guilty she felt. Sighing to herself she turned over to look at him and gestured for him to come up to her. He smiled and happily lept into her arms curling up for the night.
A few hours had passed but it was still early in the morning. "Eva, Eva wake up! C'mon~" Jr shouted impatiently in a hushed tone shaking her forcefully by the arm. Evalyn groaned as she started to wake up. "Jr....IhIt's sEven in ThE mOrnIng...." She groaned at him. "C'mon you just gotta get up! I wanna bust outta here and I want you to come with me!" Groggily Evalyn lifted herself up, rubbing her eyes yawning. "And what makes you want to do this exactly??" Jr lept up smiling with a somewhat evil grin. "I'm sick of my stupid brothers pushing me around! I wanna go somewhere where they'll never bother me again!! >D" Evalyn just glared at him suspiciously. "And where is it that you planed on going?" "I......" Jr paused for a moment. "I dunno yet :I" There was a brief silence between them. "Wow, your plan is really going well so far isn't it? T~T" Jr looked somewhat angry and embarrassed at the same time. "Well-" He walked a bit closer on the bed towards Evalyn glaring curiously at her. "Where'd YOU wanna go if we went?" Evalyn didn't expect him to ask, so she had to think for quite a while. "Isn't there some place you've always wanted to go but can't cause papa always has you working?" He implied. "....I guess there is one place...But it's a little dangerous for you." Jr continued inching closer and closer with interest. "Tell me, tell me!" "I dunno-" "TELL ME >D" He set his hands on her shoulders and jumped up and down with excitement. "Ok-" She pushed Jr away slightly and leaned up, smiling. "I always wanted to go see Star Canyon~" Jr looked at her confused, tilting his head with one finger on his chin. "Isn't it Star Road?" Evalyn shook her head. "No, it's close though." She lept off the bed and slowly began to rummage through her closet for her day outfit. Jr followed behind her excited. "What's it like?" He urged in a curious tone. "Well I've never seen it myself, but I heard that there's a great treasure at the center of it~" Jr then stood in front of her after she had just grabbed her vest. "Treasure?" "Yeah, it's supposed to be greater than any other treasure found down here. Some say the treasure is so magnificent, that just the sight of it can grant you eternal happiness~" Jr began to jump excitedly. "Well what are we WAITING for then!?" He began to tug at her sleeve urging for her to head towards the door. Evalyn giggled, "Hang on a second~" She said forcing him to release his grip as she headed towards a small dressing room in the corner. She began changing while talking from behind the curtain. "Even if we were to go, where are we gonna find anything to drive in?" Jr smiled to himself as he had come up with the perfect idea.
Jr now was walking Evalyn down the hallway towards a large wooden door near the back end. "Where in the world are you taking me Jr?" She questioned as she put the finishing touches to her look by tying back her hair with a green band. "You'll see!" He replied jumping in excitement as he shoved the door open. Evalyn looked in astonishment to see the large fleet of airships Bowser had used in past raids. Jr lept down the stairs quickly as Evalyn took her time looking about her, mouth agape. "We're gonna RIDE in one of these??" She questioned loudly looking back at Jr. "Pfft~ No, papa would kill me if I took one a his special boats, just follow me!" He shouted as he dashed towards the back end of the room. Evalyn followed behind him with slight interest as the two stopped in front of a small balloon shaped object covered in a dark red cloth. Jr pulled it off revealing what looked like to be a baby version of Bowser's "Gyro Copter" from way back when in Dinosaur Land.
Jr acted as if he was flaunting the majesty of the particular device. Evalyn just glared somewhat confused. "Well, isn't it awesome!? >D" "o3o.....It's a baloon" Jr looked miffed over the comment. "So!? It's a cool balloon >[" Evalyn continued to stare at it. ".....It has fish lips" "They're COOL fish lips!! D<" Evalyn just wouldn't stop staring at it. "......It's wearing makeu-" "JUST GET IN ALREADY! D<" Jr shouted amidst her sentence grabbing her by the neck of her shirt and leaping inside the machine. He hit a few switches and buttons and then the eyes on the front side opened wide as the propellor began to turn forcing the machine upwards. Evalyn was jerked suddenly as she quickly held on to Jr out of slight fear. Jr was now irritated with her almost. "If you don't want to be minced meat when we crash into a wall because of you I suggest letting me GO~ T3T" Evalyn was still a bit frazzled but let him go nevertheless. Jr maneuvered the device towards a wall and flicked a switch to open a hatch to the outside. There was a strong breeze that caused Evalyn to squint, barely able to see due to the intense glare from the early morning sun. "HANG ON!" Jr shouted before punching the gas valve sending the two speeding out of the entry way out into the open.
Evalyn gazed about herself in awe, she never remembered actually going anywhere outside of the castle grounds since she began her work here. Jr shook her impatiently by the shoulder. "Hey don't go all spacey on me! Where do we gotta go to get to the Star Cave or whatever it was?" Evalyn shook her head momentarily before actually hearing Jr's question. "Oh, right... uh....." She squeezed past Jr slightly taking hold of the controls. Jr loomed behind her as he gripped the sides of her waste. The controls were very self explanatory, as Evalyn already had figured out how to steer the aircraft. With a few minutes of practice she felt ready to actually begin to head towards their destination. She was a little dismayed about actually heading out though, as she turned to Jr slightly. "Isn't your dad going to be mad with us for leaving??" Jr scoffed at her. "Like we're ever gonna go back~ Besides even if we did hafta go back we'd be RICH, we could just bribe papa into being nice to us anyway >D" Evalyn was still a bit concerned, but then thought to herself of how this would be one of the few chances she'd actually have to see the treasure, so she chose to take it, as she thrust forward on the gas and pulled up as hard as she could to begin their descent at an extreme rate.
The clouds were thick and the breeze was harsh, there was extreme turbulence shaking the ship about like it was an earthquake. Jr clung onto her as she maneuvered her way through the clouds. The further they traveled up the harder it was to control the ship. The began to swerve harshly side to side as they made their way up. Evalyn could barely see beyond herself the sky was so dense. Jr began quivering against her legs. "THIS IS INSANE!" "JUST HANG ON!!" She shouted to him, barely able to hold control. Suddenly an opening in the clouds split. Without hesitation she tried to press through. Without warning the controls suddenly locked, but they were still being pulled up. She and Jr were both helpless, as they just clung to each other for dear life with their eyes shut tight.
Suddenly everything was still, the violent shaking stopped, the wind was at a halt, skies clear. Jr slightly opened his eye only to look wide in amazement. He nudged Evalyn and she too then looked in shock. A bright rainbow like glow spanned across the blue velvet sky. Stars shot across in every which way past them. A large glowing mass of yellow land could be seen in the distance, slightly covered by small luminous blue clouds. Jr couldn't help but smile at the sight. "I think we made it Eva!" He lept in excitement only to find himself unable to return to the surface of the ship. He was floating. Evalyn noticed that the propeller on the bottom of the balloon was immobile. It was just inanimate floating in the bright sea of stars they found themselves in. Evalyn jumped up and floated behind the ship, and began to push lightly on it. "Let's head over to there first" Evalyn said pointing to the star shaped island the size of Delfino. Jr nodded as he pushed along side her, swimming through the air towards it.
Back on the surface Kamek was found pacing back and fourth in his study, only to be startled abruptly by Iggy crashing through the door. The tea cup he was holding nearly fell from his hand. Iggy looked to be panicked about something but Kamek just seemed annoyed with him. "Does it hurt that much to knock?" Iggy just rushed up to him not answering his question shaking him rapidly by his shoulders. "EVALYNE'S MISSING!!" Kamek just glared briefly before shoving Iggy's hands off of him and brushing his robe off setting the cup down on his desk. "Could you not yell so loud, you're gonna give me a heart attack..." Kamek rolled up his sleeves and cracked his fingers before casting a spell for a few small spirits to briefly scout the entire castle for her. They returned quickly without any answers. Kamek shook his head. "Your dad's gonna be pretty miffed when he finds out~ :T" Iggy just quivered in fear somewhat and ran out to see if his brothers found anything.
Ludwig was snooping about in Evalyn's bedroom when Iggy crashed into his backside. "Do joo mind Ignatius?" "S-sorry..." He said somewhat out of breath in a reply. "Vhatever, she iz clearly not avound ere any more. Twould zeem she az run off. Zame time as Junior no less~" Iggy was still panting but in dismay. Suddenly Lemmy rolled in through the doorway knocking Iggy over under his beach ball. Lemmy appeared excited but Ludwig was less than amused with his arrival. "Vhat is it?" Lemmy bounced up and down in somewhat of a frenzy. "COME TO THE SHIP DECK! I FOUNDED SOMETHING!
" Lemmy rolled off with Ludwig following out of slight interest. Iggy groaned as his leg twitched with his body upside down on the floor.
All the koopalings were gathered in the Ship Deck with Iggy trudging through the doorway last. Lemmy excitedly pointed out how Jr's mini gyro copter was missing along with how the loading dock was left open as a gateway to outside. "Looks like little Jr wanted Evalyn all to himself~" Wendy giggled snidely from the back. Morton shoved Wendy abruptly to the side. "NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT DAT! SHRIMPO'S GONNA PAY FOR MAKIN' OFF WIT MAH BRIDE TO BE!" Morton tried to storm over towards one of the ships before being grabbed by the edge of his shell by Roy. Morton growled and folded his arms over. Ludwig snickered at that little outburst before getting more serious. "Vell zen, vhere would JOO suppose we start looking vor her hmm?" He questioned to Morton. Morton just grew red in the face and ignored his question. Larry jumped up from behind them all, "Didn't Eva keep talking about some stupid 'Star Strip' place or whatever she wanted to go to?" The rest of the group glared wide eyed at Larry, except for Lemmy who was playing with some spoons elsewhere. ".....What?" Larry asked.
Jr and Evalyn continued to push, it seemed like it would still be quite a ways to go, so Jr attempted to make small talk with her. "So...... did you decide yet?" "Decide what??" Jr turned a slight pale red color. "Y'know........us~ >/////>;;" Evalyn also turned bright red. It had been a few weeks since he last brought the subject up since the incident caused from his asking. "I told you, I wasn't ready yet......" She looked away from him and swam through the air pushing the aircraft faster than Jr could, causing him to fall behind. "AWW, C'MON, I DON'T BITE D:" He shouted in that somewhat annoying, nasally, pouting voice of his when he's upset.
Evalyn was still blushing before she found herself surrounded by a small amount of clouds. They had a bright blue glow about them and they circled around her playfully. One swooped underneath her while two others began to spin the propeller around on the ship. Jr finally caught up and stared in curiosity. "What are they?" Evalyn was simply confused. "I'm not sure, but I think we can ride them. Well...I can at least" She replied pointing back at the vessel behind her. Jr pouted some more about not getting to ride with her as he hopped in his ship and followed behind as the two grew closer to the island.
Finally they reached the edge of the luminous land mass, as Evalyn lept off the small puff onto what felt like solid ground, somewhat. She kicked at it to find the tip of her foot going into the surface slightly. "Kinda feels like rubber :T" She said blankly whilst waiting for Jr to arrive. The rotor on the bottom of his balloon stopped abruptly causing him to be flung outward only a few feet in front of her. Evalyn smirked and walked over to pick him up. "This isn't a time for a nap Jr" She said as he growled looking back at the cloud beings. "I wasn't taking a nap! They threw me over here!! D<" Evalyn sighed and pat his head. "Just let it go, Jr~" She stated somewhat blankly whilst walking ahead of him. He just rubbed the end of his snout where he impacted grumbling angrily as he followed after her.
"READY FOR LAUNCH" Iggy shouted back on the surface as he sat in the lower deck of one of Bowser's fleet ships. The other koopalings were walking around prepping it still and getting into position whilst Ludwig stood in front holding the wheel to guide the vessel. "Start ze engines!" He shouted. Morton ran to the back end of the upper deck pulling on a few levers starting the motor. Flames ejected from the back side and the wings on the edges began to flap rapidly sending the ship upwards and out the doorway.
Downstairs Kamek rushed into the throne room in a slight panic himself. Bowser rose ready to cut him off. Kamek began to speak anyways. "Your highness, I have so-" "KAMEK, You came at the right time. What the heck is going on!? Breakfast is late, nothing's been cleaned, and I can't hear any of my damn kids arguing upstairs!" Kamek grimaced as he got on top of his broom and flew up into Bowser's face. "That's why I'm HERE, Prince Junior made off with Evalyn in his Gyro Copter and-" "Wow, kidnapping already!? He must've learned more from me than I thought!" Bowser smiled to himself as if he was gloating of how great a teacher he was. "Now, what were you saying??" He asked Kamek once more. Kamek growled before continuing. "AND, your other kids made off with one of your airships :T" "THEY WHAT!?" Flames burst from Bowser's mouth as he threw his large chair backwards storming out of the room towards where the kids had just left from.
Bowser smashed the door knocking it off the hinges when he crashed into the docking bay to find that the lot of koopalings had just taken off. Lemmy spotted Bowser as they were just leaving and waved at him smiling none the wiser. Roy came up behind him confused looking. "What da heck'r you wavin' atOMYGAUD IT'S KING DAD!! MORTON PAUNCH IT!" Without hesitation Morton thrust on the gas as hard as it would go nearly breaking the handle off as they were sent flying towards the sky at near light speed, to them anyway. "GET BACK HERE!" Bowser hissed as he hopped in his own gyro copter and flew out the passage, shooting cannons at the lot of them with Kamek slowly following behind. Somehow keeping his cool as he slurps another small cup of tea.
Up in the stars Evalyn and Jr were walking on what seemed like an endless path of nothing, with the occasional shooting star floating over head. Jr began to pout as he drug his legs across the surface. "I'm ttiiiirrrrrrrreeeeeedddd~" Evalyn groaned at him. "You've been walking for five minutes, Jr~" "But I'm STILL TIIRRRREEEEDDDD D|" Evalyn sighed as she walked back to where he trudged slowly and picked him up in her arms to carry. Jr leaned groggily against her as the walked on.
No more than ten minutes later Jr began complaining again. "How much longer till we're THERE?" "For the 7th time, I don't know, Jr T~T" Evalyn replied continuing to move forward on the endless nothing that was the surface, it was like walking through the desert, only much colder. Evalyn began to wince having to lug Jr's weight around. It's ludicrous enough to begin with that she's able to pick him up in the first place with him almost being the exact same size, only heavier. Jr ended up falling asleep as she spotted something in the distance. A small rift with an intense rainbow like glow coming from it. She began to move faster and faster until she was almost running towards it. The bouncing ended up waking Jr back up again. He squinted only to also spot it in the distance. "H-hey! I think I see it!" He lept from her arms and began to run at her side as they quickly approached the tear in the surface.
The two of them stood at the edge of the jagged crack, barely able to see due to the intense light. Jr nudged at Evalyn's side. "Well, ladies first~" Evalyn just glared at him. "Gee, I feel so honored~" She sarcastically remarked. Sighing to herself she decided it to be safer if her wings were out. So she took her vest off and groaned slightly until she had fully turned into her hybrid form. She handed it to Jr and then with slight hesitation dove down, only to smack her face on the surface two seconds after. "Well, how deep is it?" Jr questioned peering over. Evalyn set her arms on the edge of the crack as the rest of her body was already lowered inside. "Oh I dunno, about fifty feet or so~" Jr just glared at her confused before she groaned picking him up and setting him in with her. The two walked into the intense glow, gradually shutting their eyes completely from the sheer brightness.
The next time they opened their eyes they found themselves inside a giant blue room with a ceiling so high it didn't even seem like they were in a room. In front of them was a ginormous worm like creature that was a bright aqua color sleeping in front of them. Jr began to quiver clinging on to Evalyn's shorts. "I-I I think that's c-c-covering the treasure up E-Eva...." Evalyn gulped nervously as she began to walk towards it.
Without even taking more than one step forward, the beast was quickly aroused and lept up angrily staring at the two intruders. It let out a ghastly scream before starting to charge towards them. "RUN!" Evalyn shouted pushing Jr out of the way and quickly following after. Jr tripped over a crack in the floor and screamed in terror. Evalyn quickly picked him up by the shell and floated into the air just enough to move faster than the beast. The duo was chased by the monster almost endlessly until she quickly swerved out where they had entered in the small corridor. The blinding light was gone and with all the spikes and rifts she saw it was astonishing that they even made it in without getting hurt.
The monstrosity let out another blood curdling roar and smashed through the doorway continuing the chase. Jr was curled into a helpless little ball covering his eyes with his claws. Evalyn just barely managed to maneuver her way through until her shirt had suddenly become snagged by one of the sharp corners in the miniature canyon. She lost her grip on Jr as he was sent hurdling towards the other end. The beast sped towards her quickly with steam coming from it's mouth. The snag was deep as she struggled to free herself. "EVA!!!" Jr shouted as he sped towards her and climbed up to try and free her. The more she struggled the deeper it seemed to get. "It's no use Jr, just run!" She said with tears starting to run down her face at her inevitable doom. "I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!" He shouted angrily beginning to cry as well tugging at her shirt desperately. The dastardly creature was just about to ram into them only inches away as the duo could think of nothing more than to cling on to one another tightly awaiting their fate.
Suddenly from above an explosion had crashed down right in to the beastly worm causing it to come to an abrupt halt. Both Jr and Evalyn's crying had stopped as they looked up to see what it was. High up they could see Ludwig smirking arrogantly over the precise hit, as Lemmy waved to the two unconcerned with the danger they were just in. The rest of the group leaned over the sides to see the two, Iggy especially relieved at her safety. The monster shook its head and only grew angrier as it lept up and crashed down to the surface causing a monstrous earthquake nearly smashing the two of them still stuck to the wall. Ludwig sarcastically shook his finger at the creature. "I don zink zo~" He said mockingly leaping down and picking Evalyn up only. She still held to Jr though so as to not leave him. Iggy was infuriated with the monster for trying to hurt Evalyn as he sent a brigade of bullets flying at the monster causing an explosion so great the creature was sent flying into the infinite void of space, its last trace being the small glimmer of light seen where it had been sent.
All of the koopalings lept from the ship over to see what the heck was going on. Iggy pushed Ludwig out of the way to embrace Evalyn for himself. "IWASSOWORRIEDABOUTYOUITHOUGHTIDNEVERSEEYOUAGAINYOUREALLYSCAREDMEBUTITSOKNOWCAUSEYOURESAFEWITHME-" He just went on and on shaking her excitedly. Ludwig slapped the backside of Jr's head. He turned bright red and jumped up and down angrily throwing fake punches at Ludwig. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR!? D<" "Dumbkinof! Joo put ze girl in great danger, joo should be ashamed~" Roy chimed in from behind Ludwig. "Not dat eed care or anyfin~" Ludwig looked away from Roy smugly and kicked him in the shin where Evalyn last did causing him to double over in pain. Jr began to whine. "So what if I wanted to leave, it was EVA who wanted to go here! Dumkeynoff"
Evalyn caused Iggy to stop his incessant shaking when he saw she was beginning to get nauseous. Ludwig looked over his shoulder to see Evalyn unoccupied for the moment. "Vhy vas it that joo wanted to come here anyvay?" Evalyn was a bit frazzled for a moment before hearing his question. "Oh yeah, the treasure...." She lept back into the crevice and slowly ran back to where they encountered the worm-like leviathan. Everyone followed after curiously.
Evalyn approached a small chest that seemed to have a bright glow. Jr skipped up behind her and peered over her shoulder. "C'mon, open it!" The rest looked with interest from behind her. Carefully Evalyn lifted the casing to reveal a very small, white, heart shaped gem attached to a string. It was broken in half and behind it was the other piece also attached to a string. Jr began to pout. "A NECKLACE? I thought it was a big treasure, not some five cent thrift store find from a flea market-" "Vonderful use of alliteration zer Junior~" Ludwig remarked mockingly. Evalyn just lifted the two small gems and glared curiously at them. She took the two pieces and set them together in her hands only for them to set of an intense light brighter than the sun itself. Jr groaned loudly. "GEEZ ANY MORE OF THIS AND I'M GONNA BE BLIND!" The necklace floated about in the air on it's own and smashed into a small hole in the wall in front of them causing the room to shake violently.
The wall began to split as the glow decreased. Some of the koopalings that could managed to open their eyes as they stared in awe at what had been revealed. Larry found himself drooling while Wendy near about had dollar signs in her eyes. Evalyn grimacing managed to squint only to look wide eyed in shock at the hundreds of mounds of sheer yellow gold coins and gems that went on for what seemed like miles. Jr was the last to see and smiled widly. "WE'RE GONNA BE RICH! >D" He shouted jumping into the pile of money tossing it into the air happily. The others aside from Ludwig and Evalyn joined in grabbing onto as much treasure as their arms could hold.
Evalyn glared up at Ludwig, "Why aren't you in there?" He looked down at her smugly, grinning to himself. "I am not govink to reduce myself to such a level of greed mine dear~ Vhat about joo? I sought joo vanted ze treasure, no?" Evalyn looked over at them all diving in and out of the sea of gold, looking at Jr's gleeful smile in particular. "This wasn't exactly what I pictured "eternal happiness" to look like..." Ludwig shrugged. "Must ave been false advertising zen~" Evalyn sighed briefly gazing at the lot of them.
Suddenly from the back end of the room they felt a violent thud followed by a thunderous roar. A cold sweat ran down Evalyn's face as she was afraid she recognized that rage filled howl far to well. Everyone in the other room looked up. Jr the most frightened. "P-P-PAPA!?" Bowser grimaced as flames spurred from between his teeth. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" He shouted storming towards Evalyn. Jr lept up in front of her panicked looking yet trying to defend Evalyn from his wrath. "IT WASN'T HER FAULT PAPA I DRUGHEROUTHEREPLEASEDONTHURTHERPLEASEIWASJUST-" "I don't care what you were doing!" Bowser shouted irritatedly shoving the two out of the way picking Ludwig up by his arm. "What the hell kind of idea did you have to go and make yourself take off for a joy ride iN WANNA MY SHIPS HUH!?!?" "Vazzer, joo are in desperate need of a breaf mint~" Ludwig remarked. Bowser just growled more intimidatingly at him, but he still didn't flinch. "I vas simply taking ze opportunity to go off wif my brozers und sister to retrieve thine treasure for you to claim. Is zat such a wrong zing?" He replied arrogantly. Bowser grimaced before dropping Ludwig. "I guess not-" He slapped Ludwig on the forehead. "Just don't do it again!" Bowser walked past him shouting commands for the rest of the kids to start hauling the treasure out to the ships. Ludwig rubbed his forehead but smirked to himself. Jr giggled somewhat embarrassed. "Ehehe~ I guess we're off the hook-" "Yeah, for now at least -_-" Evalyn replied.
Kamek guided the ship home as it held all of their obtained loot along with the two Gyro Copters of both Bowser's and Jr's. Evalyn sat over the edge somewhat depressed looking staring out at the ocean of stars as she twiddled the two necklaces within her fingers. Jr walked up from behind her discerned looking. "Why are you all sad? We found the treasure! That's what we were looking for right?" Evalyn sighed and didn't look in his direction. "Sure we found it..... but it wasn't what I was..........expecting....." Jr put his hand on her shoulder. "What do you mean? What's wrong??" Evalyn smiled slightly as she realized something. "We may have found a treasure..... but-" She turned to Jr looking at him directly stringing the first half of the necklace around his neck. "It took me til now to realize I already had my treasure~" Jr was completely dumbfounded before he found himself being embraced in Evalyn's arms. He turned bright red still slightly confused. "Thanks for not leaving me~" Were the last words she spoke holding him. Slowly he wrapped his own arms around her. "Yo......You're welcome~ <3" He replied smiling as he held her gently while the ship slowly made it's decent home.

Out at Bowser's Castle.....
"LEMME GO ROY! D<" Jr shouted at the top of his lungs as he flailed back and fourth dangling from his ponytail in Roy's grasp. Roy snickered as he tauntingly flicked the end of Jr's nose. "Aww, idn't that cute? The boy actually thinks that I'll let go~" Behind Roy stood Morton, laughing hysterically at Jr's torment. Roy grinned devilishly as he walked over towards a pit of lava down in the prison cells. Jr's eyes grew wide before he quickly clung for dear life on Roy's arm "OK DUN LEMME GO, DUN LEMME GO!!" Roy simply laughed at him. "But I thought you said you wanted me to drop you~" "I CHANGE MY MIND! ono;;" Jr shouted in a panicked reply.
"Ocourse you did~" Roy said blankly, before shaking his arm rapidly over the orange glop of death. Jr started to wail in dismay as Morton couldn't contain his laughter. He was rolling along the floor with his face bright red. Jr's grip started to loosen, something he really had hoped wouldn't happen. He began to scream louder until suddenly their young red headed servant Evalyn arrived at the doorway. "Do you to mind not YELLING AT 4 IN THE MORNING?? T~T" She said in an irritated tone. She approached Roy and kicked him in the shin causing him to drop Jr as she caught him in her arms.
"AWWW, Whadaya gotta go n' do that afor??" Morton said in dismay. Roy was trying desperately to hold back a scream of sheer agony as he clung to his bruised leg. Evalyn just glared right into Morton's eyes, causing him to shrink back out of fear. Jr was shivering in terror in her arms as she simply stroked the back of his head. Morton snuck out of the room so he was already long gone, but Roy was still wincing in pain, and Evalyn glared at him angrily as she herself decided to leave and head towards her room. "Bitch" Roy muttered under his breath.
"MY BROTHERS ARE A BUNCH OF MEANIE HEADS D<" He shouted, pouting on Evalyn's shoulder as she approached her doorway. "Whad ya do to tick Roy off in the first place? :T" Jr lifted his face from her arm for a moment. "I didn't do anything! Roy's the one who came in at decided to play 'Hangman' with me over the lava pit!! D<" Evalyn sighed to herself as she just passed her doorway. "Uh.. Your room is that way." Jr said pointing behind her. "I know, I'm taking you to your room :B" She replied. Jr looked about ready to pout, somewhat panicked looking. "I don't wanna go back in THERE, who knows what else those screwballs'll do to me when I'm all alone!" He looked as if he was quivering.
Evalyn couldn't help herself but feel sorry for him as she turned back and entered her own bedroom with Jr still cradled in her arms. She tossed him abruptly onto her bed as she rummaged through her closet for something. Jr peered over at her out of curiosity. "Watcha looking for?" "A sleeping bag." She replied groggily. Jr scratched his head for a moment. "Why'd you wanna sleep in a bag??" Evalyn glared over her shoulder at him. "What did you think I was gonna do, sleep on the bed with you?" Jr began to pout again as he nodded. Evalyn slapped herself on the forehead as she silently shut the door on her closet, and shoved Jr over to the other side so she could sleep as far away from him as possible. She clicked the lamp off that sat just next to her. "Now just go to sleep~" She muttered half awake. Jr groped the end of the blanket he was holding, as he slowly scooted over next to her and rubbed against her backside. Evalyn pushed him away somewhat irritated, as she's not much of a morning person. Dismayed, Jr curled up at the other end whimpering. The more Jr cried for attention from her, the more guilty she felt. Sighing to herself she turned over to look at him and gestured for him to come up to her. He smiled and happily lept into her arms curling up for the night.
A few hours had passed but it was still early in the morning. "Eva, Eva wake up! C'mon~" Jr shouted impatiently in a hushed tone shaking her forcefully by the arm. Evalyn groaned as she started to wake up. "Jr....IhIt's sEven in ThE mOrnIng...." She groaned at him. "C'mon you just gotta get up! I wanna bust outta here and I want you to come with me!" Groggily Evalyn lifted herself up, rubbing her eyes yawning. "And what makes you want to do this exactly??" Jr lept up smiling with a somewhat evil grin. "I'm sick of my stupid brothers pushing me around! I wanna go somewhere where they'll never bother me again!! >D" Evalyn just glared at him suspiciously. "And where is it that you planed on going?" "I......" Jr paused for a moment. "I dunno yet :I" There was a brief silence between them. "Wow, your plan is really going well so far isn't it? T~T" Jr looked somewhat angry and embarrassed at the same time. "Well-" He walked a bit closer on the bed towards Evalyn glaring curiously at her. "Where'd YOU wanna go if we went?" Evalyn didn't expect him to ask, so she had to think for quite a while. "Isn't there some place you've always wanted to go but can't cause papa always has you working?" He implied. "....I guess there is one place...But it's a little dangerous for you." Jr continued inching closer and closer with interest. "Tell me, tell me!" "I dunno-" "TELL ME >D" He set his hands on her shoulders and jumped up and down with excitement. "Ok-" She pushed Jr away slightly and leaned up, smiling. "I always wanted to go see Star Canyon~" Jr looked at her confused, tilting his head with one finger on his chin. "Isn't it Star Road?" Evalyn shook her head. "No, it's close though." She lept off the bed and slowly began to rummage through her closet for her day outfit. Jr followed behind her excited. "What's it like?" He urged in a curious tone. "Well I've never seen it myself, but I heard that there's a great treasure at the center of it~" Jr then stood in front of her after she had just grabbed her vest. "Treasure?" "Yeah, it's supposed to be greater than any other treasure found down here. Some say the treasure is so magnificent, that just the sight of it can grant you eternal happiness~" Jr began to jump excitedly. "Well what are we WAITING for then!?" He began to tug at her sleeve urging for her to head towards the door. Evalyn giggled, "Hang on a second~" She said forcing him to release his grip as she headed towards a small dressing room in the corner. She began changing while talking from behind the curtain. "Even if we were to go, where are we gonna find anything to drive in?" Jr smiled to himself as he had come up with the perfect idea.
Jr now was walking Evalyn down the hallway towards a large wooden door near the back end. "Where in the world are you taking me Jr?" She questioned as she put the finishing touches to her look by tying back her hair with a green band. "You'll see!" He replied jumping in excitement as he shoved the door open. Evalyn looked in astonishment to see the large fleet of airships Bowser had used in past raids. Jr lept down the stairs quickly as Evalyn took her time looking about her, mouth agape. "We're gonna RIDE in one of these??" She questioned loudly looking back at Jr. "Pfft~ No, papa would kill me if I took one a his special boats, just follow me!" He shouted as he dashed towards the back end of the room. Evalyn followed behind him with slight interest as the two stopped in front of a small balloon shaped object covered in a dark red cloth. Jr pulled it off revealing what looked like to be a baby version of Bowser's "Gyro Copter" from way back when in Dinosaur Land.
Jr acted as if he was flaunting the majesty of the particular device. Evalyn just glared somewhat confused. "Well, isn't it awesome!? >D" "o3o.....It's a baloon" Jr looked miffed over the comment. "So!? It's a cool balloon >[" Evalyn continued to stare at it. ".....It has fish lips" "They're COOL fish lips!! D<" Evalyn just wouldn't stop staring at it. "......It's wearing makeu-" "JUST GET IN ALREADY! D<" Jr shouted amidst her sentence grabbing her by the neck of her shirt and leaping inside the machine. He hit a few switches and buttons and then the eyes on the front side opened wide as the propellor began to turn forcing the machine upwards. Evalyn was jerked suddenly as she quickly held on to Jr out of slight fear. Jr was now irritated with her almost. "If you don't want to be minced meat when we crash into a wall because of you I suggest letting me GO~ T3T" Evalyn was still a bit frazzled but let him go nevertheless. Jr maneuvered the device towards a wall and flicked a switch to open a hatch to the outside. There was a strong breeze that caused Evalyn to squint, barely able to see due to the intense glare from the early morning sun. "HANG ON!" Jr shouted before punching the gas valve sending the two speeding out of the entry way out into the open.
Evalyn gazed about herself in awe, she never remembered actually going anywhere outside of the castle grounds since she began her work here. Jr shook her impatiently by the shoulder. "Hey don't go all spacey on me! Where do we gotta go to get to the Star Cave or whatever it was?" Evalyn shook her head momentarily before actually hearing Jr's question. "Oh, right... uh....." She squeezed past Jr slightly taking hold of the controls. Jr loomed behind her as he gripped the sides of her waste. The controls were very self explanatory, as Evalyn already had figured out how to steer the aircraft. With a few minutes of practice she felt ready to actually begin to head towards their destination. She was a little dismayed about actually heading out though, as she turned to Jr slightly. "Isn't your dad going to be mad with us for leaving??" Jr scoffed at her. "Like we're ever gonna go back~ Besides even if we did hafta go back we'd be RICH, we could just bribe papa into being nice to us anyway >D" Evalyn was still a bit concerned, but then thought to herself of how this would be one of the few chances she'd actually have to see the treasure, so she chose to take it, as she thrust forward on the gas and pulled up as hard as she could to begin their descent at an extreme rate.
The clouds were thick and the breeze was harsh, there was extreme turbulence shaking the ship about like it was an earthquake. Jr clung onto her as she maneuvered her way through the clouds. The further they traveled up the harder it was to control the ship. The began to swerve harshly side to side as they made their way up. Evalyn could barely see beyond herself the sky was so dense. Jr began quivering against her legs. "THIS IS INSANE!" "JUST HANG ON!!" She shouted to him, barely able to hold control. Suddenly an opening in the clouds split. Without hesitation she tried to press through. Without warning the controls suddenly locked, but they were still being pulled up. She and Jr were both helpless, as they just clung to each other for dear life with their eyes shut tight.
Suddenly everything was still, the violent shaking stopped, the wind was at a halt, skies clear. Jr slightly opened his eye only to look wide in amazement. He nudged Evalyn and she too then looked in shock. A bright rainbow like glow spanned across the blue velvet sky. Stars shot across in every which way past them. A large glowing mass of yellow land could be seen in the distance, slightly covered by small luminous blue clouds. Jr couldn't help but smile at the sight. "I think we made it Eva!" He lept in excitement only to find himself unable to return to the surface of the ship. He was floating. Evalyn noticed that the propeller on the bottom of the balloon was immobile. It was just inanimate floating in the bright sea of stars they found themselves in. Evalyn jumped up and floated behind the ship, and began to push lightly on it. "Let's head over to there first" Evalyn said pointing to the star shaped island the size of Delfino. Jr nodded as he pushed along side her, swimming through the air towards it.
Back on the surface Kamek was found pacing back and fourth in his study, only to be startled abruptly by Iggy crashing through the door. The tea cup he was holding nearly fell from his hand. Iggy looked to be panicked about something but Kamek just seemed annoyed with him. "Does it hurt that much to knock?" Iggy just rushed up to him not answering his question shaking him rapidly by his shoulders. "EVALYNE'S MISSING!!" Kamek just glared briefly before shoving Iggy's hands off of him and brushing his robe off setting the cup down on his desk. "Could you not yell so loud, you're gonna give me a heart attack..." Kamek rolled up his sleeves and cracked his fingers before casting a spell for a few small spirits to briefly scout the entire castle for her. They returned quickly without any answers. Kamek shook his head. "Your dad's gonna be pretty miffed when he finds out~ :T" Iggy just quivered in fear somewhat and ran out to see if his brothers found anything.
Ludwig was snooping about in Evalyn's bedroom when Iggy crashed into his backside. "Do joo mind Ignatius?" "S-sorry..." He said somewhat out of breath in a reply. "Vhatever, she iz clearly not avound ere any more. Twould zeem she az run off. Zame time as Junior no less~" Iggy was still panting but in dismay. Suddenly Lemmy rolled in through the doorway knocking Iggy over under his beach ball. Lemmy appeared excited but Ludwig was less than amused with his arrival. "Vhat is it?" Lemmy bounced up and down in somewhat of a frenzy. "COME TO THE SHIP DECK! I FOUNDED SOMETHING!
" Lemmy rolled off with Ludwig following out of slight interest. Iggy groaned as his leg twitched with his body upside down on the floor.All the koopalings were gathered in the Ship Deck with Iggy trudging through the doorway last. Lemmy excitedly pointed out how Jr's mini gyro copter was missing along with how the loading dock was left open as a gateway to outside. "Looks like little Jr wanted Evalyn all to himself~" Wendy giggled snidely from the back. Morton shoved Wendy abruptly to the side. "NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT DAT! SHRIMPO'S GONNA PAY FOR MAKIN' OFF WIT MAH BRIDE TO BE!" Morton tried to storm over towards one of the ships before being grabbed by the edge of his shell by Roy. Morton growled and folded his arms over. Ludwig snickered at that little outburst before getting more serious. "Vell zen, vhere would JOO suppose we start looking vor her hmm?" He questioned to Morton. Morton just grew red in the face and ignored his question. Larry jumped up from behind them all, "Didn't Eva keep talking about some stupid 'Star Strip' place or whatever she wanted to go to?" The rest of the group glared wide eyed at Larry, except for Lemmy who was playing with some spoons elsewhere. ".....What?" Larry asked.
Jr and Evalyn continued to push, it seemed like it would still be quite a ways to go, so Jr attempted to make small talk with her. "So...... did you decide yet?" "Decide what??" Jr turned a slight pale red color. "Y'know........us~ >/////>;;" Evalyn also turned bright red. It had been a few weeks since he last brought the subject up since the incident caused from his asking. "I told you, I wasn't ready yet......" She looked away from him and swam through the air pushing the aircraft faster than Jr could, causing him to fall behind. "AWW, C'MON, I DON'T BITE D:" He shouted in that somewhat annoying, nasally, pouting voice of his when he's upset.
Evalyn was still blushing before she found herself surrounded by a small amount of clouds. They had a bright blue glow about them and they circled around her playfully. One swooped underneath her while two others began to spin the propeller around on the ship. Jr finally caught up and stared in curiosity. "What are they?" Evalyn was simply confused. "I'm not sure, but I think we can ride them. Well...I can at least" She replied pointing back at the vessel behind her. Jr pouted some more about not getting to ride with her as he hopped in his ship and followed behind as the two grew closer to the island.
Finally they reached the edge of the luminous land mass, as Evalyn lept off the small puff onto what felt like solid ground, somewhat. She kicked at it to find the tip of her foot going into the surface slightly. "Kinda feels like rubber :T" She said blankly whilst waiting for Jr to arrive. The rotor on the bottom of his balloon stopped abruptly causing him to be flung outward only a few feet in front of her. Evalyn smirked and walked over to pick him up. "This isn't a time for a nap Jr" She said as he growled looking back at the cloud beings. "I wasn't taking a nap! They threw me over here!! D<" Evalyn sighed and pat his head. "Just let it go, Jr~" She stated somewhat blankly whilst walking ahead of him. He just rubbed the end of his snout where he impacted grumbling angrily as he followed after her.
"READY FOR LAUNCH" Iggy shouted back on the surface as he sat in the lower deck of one of Bowser's fleet ships. The other koopalings were walking around prepping it still and getting into position whilst Ludwig stood in front holding the wheel to guide the vessel. "Start ze engines!" He shouted. Morton ran to the back end of the upper deck pulling on a few levers starting the motor. Flames ejected from the back side and the wings on the edges began to flap rapidly sending the ship upwards and out the doorway.
Downstairs Kamek rushed into the throne room in a slight panic himself. Bowser rose ready to cut him off. Kamek began to speak anyways. "Your highness, I have so-" "KAMEK, You came at the right time. What the heck is going on!? Breakfast is late, nothing's been cleaned, and I can't hear any of my damn kids arguing upstairs!" Kamek grimaced as he got on top of his broom and flew up into Bowser's face. "That's why I'm HERE, Prince Junior made off with Evalyn in his Gyro Copter and-" "Wow, kidnapping already!? He must've learned more from me than I thought!" Bowser smiled to himself as if he was gloating of how great a teacher he was. "Now, what were you saying??" He asked Kamek once more. Kamek growled before continuing. "AND, your other kids made off with one of your airships :T" "THEY WHAT!?" Flames burst from Bowser's mouth as he threw his large chair backwards storming out of the room towards where the kids had just left from.
Bowser smashed the door knocking it off the hinges when he crashed into the docking bay to find that the lot of koopalings had just taken off. Lemmy spotted Bowser as they were just leaving and waved at him smiling none the wiser. Roy came up behind him confused looking. "What da heck'r you wavin' atOMYGAUD IT'S KING DAD!! MORTON PAUNCH IT!" Without hesitation Morton thrust on the gas as hard as it would go nearly breaking the handle off as they were sent flying towards the sky at near light speed, to them anyway. "GET BACK HERE!" Bowser hissed as he hopped in his own gyro copter and flew out the passage, shooting cannons at the lot of them with Kamek slowly following behind. Somehow keeping his cool as he slurps another small cup of tea.
Up in the stars Evalyn and Jr were walking on what seemed like an endless path of nothing, with the occasional shooting star floating over head. Jr began to pout as he drug his legs across the surface. "I'm ttiiiirrrrrrrreeeeeedddd~" Evalyn groaned at him. "You've been walking for five minutes, Jr~" "But I'm STILL TIIRRRREEEEDDDD D|" Evalyn sighed as she walked back to where he trudged slowly and picked him up in her arms to carry. Jr leaned groggily against her as the walked on.
No more than ten minutes later Jr began complaining again. "How much longer till we're THERE?" "For the 7th time, I don't know, Jr T~T" Evalyn replied continuing to move forward on the endless nothing that was the surface, it was like walking through the desert, only much colder. Evalyn began to wince having to lug Jr's weight around. It's ludicrous enough to begin with that she's able to pick him up in the first place with him almost being the exact same size, only heavier. Jr ended up falling asleep as she spotted something in the distance. A small rift with an intense rainbow like glow coming from it. She began to move faster and faster until she was almost running towards it. The bouncing ended up waking Jr back up again. He squinted only to also spot it in the distance. "H-hey! I think I see it!" He lept from her arms and began to run at her side as they quickly approached the tear in the surface.
The two of them stood at the edge of the jagged crack, barely able to see due to the intense light. Jr nudged at Evalyn's side. "Well, ladies first~" Evalyn just glared at him. "Gee, I feel so honored~" She sarcastically remarked. Sighing to herself she decided it to be safer if her wings were out. So she took her vest off and groaned slightly until she had fully turned into her hybrid form. She handed it to Jr and then with slight hesitation dove down, only to smack her face on the surface two seconds after. "Well, how deep is it?" Jr questioned peering over. Evalyn set her arms on the edge of the crack as the rest of her body was already lowered inside. "Oh I dunno, about fifty feet or so~" Jr just glared at her confused before she groaned picking him up and setting him in with her. The two walked into the intense glow, gradually shutting their eyes completely from the sheer brightness.
The next time they opened their eyes they found themselves inside a giant blue room with a ceiling so high it didn't even seem like they were in a room. In front of them was a ginormous worm like creature that was a bright aqua color sleeping in front of them. Jr began to quiver clinging on to Evalyn's shorts. "I-I I think that's c-c-covering the treasure up E-Eva...." Evalyn gulped nervously as she began to walk towards it.
Without even taking more than one step forward, the beast was quickly aroused and lept up angrily staring at the two intruders. It let out a ghastly scream before starting to charge towards them. "RUN!" Evalyn shouted pushing Jr out of the way and quickly following after. Jr tripped over a crack in the floor and screamed in terror. Evalyn quickly picked him up by the shell and floated into the air just enough to move faster than the beast. The duo was chased by the monster almost endlessly until she quickly swerved out where they had entered in the small corridor. The blinding light was gone and with all the spikes and rifts she saw it was astonishing that they even made it in without getting hurt.
The monstrosity let out another blood curdling roar and smashed through the doorway continuing the chase. Jr was curled into a helpless little ball covering his eyes with his claws. Evalyn just barely managed to maneuver her way through until her shirt had suddenly become snagged by one of the sharp corners in the miniature canyon. She lost her grip on Jr as he was sent hurdling towards the other end. The beast sped towards her quickly with steam coming from it's mouth. The snag was deep as she struggled to free herself. "EVA!!!" Jr shouted as he sped towards her and climbed up to try and free her. The more she struggled the deeper it seemed to get. "It's no use Jr, just run!" She said with tears starting to run down her face at her inevitable doom. "I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!" He shouted angrily beginning to cry as well tugging at her shirt desperately. The dastardly creature was just about to ram into them only inches away as the duo could think of nothing more than to cling on to one another tightly awaiting their fate.
Suddenly from above an explosion had crashed down right in to the beastly worm causing it to come to an abrupt halt. Both Jr and Evalyn's crying had stopped as they looked up to see what it was. High up they could see Ludwig smirking arrogantly over the precise hit, as Lemmy waved to the two unconcerned with the danger they were just in. The rest of the group leaned over the sides to see the two, Iggy especially relieved at her safety. The monster shook its head and only grew angrier as it lept up and crashed down to the surface causing a monstrous earthquake nearly smashing the two of them still stuck to the wall. Ludwig sarcastically shook his finger at the creature. "I don zink zo~" He said mockingly leaping down and picking Evalyn up only. She still held to Jr though so as to not leave him. Iggy was infuriated with the monster for trying to hurt Evalyn as he sent a brigade of bullets flying at the monster causing an explosion so great the creature was sent flying into the infinite void of space, its last trace being the small glimmer of light seen where it had been sent.
All of the koopalings lept from the ship over to see what the heck was going on. Iggy pushed Ludwig out of the way to embrace Evalyn for himself. "IWASSOWORRIEDABOUTYOUITHOUGHTIDNEVERSEEYOUAGAINYOUREALLYSCAREDMEBUTITSOKNOWCAUSEYOURESAFEWITHME-" He just went on and on shaking her excitedly. Ludwig slapped the backside of Jr's head. He turned bright red and jumped up and down angrily throwing fake punches at Ludwig. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR!? D<" "Dumbkinof! Joo put ze girl in great danger, joo should be ashamed~" Roy chimed in from behind Ludwig. "Not dat eed care or anyfin~" Ludwig looked away from Roy smugly and kicked him in the shin where Evalyn last did causing him to double over in pain. Jr began to whine. "So what if I wanted to leave, it was EVA who wanted to go here! Dumkeynoff"
Evalyn caused Iggy to stop his incessant shaking when he saw she was beginning to get nauseous. Ludwig looked over his shoulder to see Evalyn unoccupied for the moment. "Vhy vas it that joo wanted to come here anyvay?" Evalyn was a bit frazzled for a moment before hearing his question. "Oh yeah, the treasure...." She lept back into the crevice and slowly ran back to where they encountered the worm-like leviathan. Everyone followed after curiously.
Evalyn approached a small chest that seemed to have a bright glow. Jr skipped up behind her and peered over her shoulder. "C'mon, open it!" The rest looked with interest from behind her. Carefully Evalyn lifted the casing to reveal a very small, white, heart shaped gem attached to a string. It was broken in half and behind it was the other piece also attached to a string. Jr began to pout. "A NECKLACE? I thought it was a big treasure, not some five cent thrift store find from a flea market-" "Vonderful use of alliteration zer Junior~" Ludwig remarked mockingly. Evalyn just lifted the two small gems and glared curiously at them. She took the two pieces and set them together in her hands only for them to set of an intense light brighter than the sun itself. Jr groaned loudly. "GEEZ ANY MORE OF THIS AND I'M GONNA BE BLIND!" The necklace floated about in the air on it's own and smashed into a small hole in the wall in front of them causing the room to shake violently.
The wall began to split as the glow decreased. Some of the koopalings that could managed to open their eyes as they stared in awe at what had been revealed. Larry found himself drooling while Wendy near about had dollar signs in her eyes. Evalyn grimacing managed to squint only to look wide eyed in shock at the hundreds of mounds of sheer yellow gold coins and gems that went on for what seemed like miles. Jr was the last to see and smiled widly. "WE'RE GONNA BE RICH! >D" He shouted jumping into the pile of money tossing it into the air happily. The others aside from Ludwig and Evalyn joined in grabbing onto as much treasure as their arms could hold.
Evalyn glared up at Ludwig, "Why aren't you in there?" He looked down at her smugly, grinning to himself. "I am not govink to reduce myself to such a level of greed mine dear~ Vhat about joo? I sought joo vanted ze treasure, no?" Evalyn looked over at them all diving in and out of the sea of gold, looking at Jr's gleeful smile in particular. "This wasn't exactly what I pictured "eternal happiness" to look like..." Ludwig shrugged. "Must ave been false advertising zen~" Evalyn sighed briefly gazing at the lot of them.
Suddenly from the back end of the room they felt a violent thud followed by a thunderous roar. A cold sweat ran down Evalyn's face as she was afraid she recognized that rage filled howl far to well. Everyone in the other room looked up. Jr the most frightened. "P-P-PAPA!?" Bowser grimaced as flames spurred from between his teeth. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" He shouted storming towards Evalyn. Jr lept up in front of her panicked looking yet trying to defend Evalyn from his wrath. "IT WASN'T HER FAULT PAPA I DRUGHEROUTHEREPLEASEDONTHURTHERPLEASEIWASJUST-" "I don't care what you were doing!" Bowser shouted irritatedly shoving the two out of the way picking Ludwig up by his arm. "What the hell kind of idea did you have to go and make yourself take off for a joy ride iN WANNA MY SHIPS HUH!?!?" "Vazzer, joo are in desperate need of a breaf mint~" Ludwig remarked. Bowser just growled more intimidatingly at him, but he still didn't flinch. "I vas simply taking ze opportunity to go off wif my brozers und sister to retrieve thine treasure for you to claim. Is zat such a wrong zing?" He replied arrogantly. Bowser grimaced before dropping Ludwig. "I guess not-" He slapped Ludwig on the forehead. "Just don't do it again!" Bowser walked past him shouting commands for the rest of the kids to start hauling the treasure out to the ships. Ludwig rubbed his forehead but smirked to himself. Jr giggled somewhat embarrassed. "Ehehe~ I guess we're off the hook-" "Yeah, for now at least -_-" Evalyn replied.
Kamek guided the ship home as it held all of their obtained loot along with the two Gyro Copters of both Bowser's and Jr's. Evalyn sat over the edge somewhat depressed looking staring out at the ocean of stars as she twiddled the two necklaces within her fingers. Jr walked up from behind her discerned looking. "Why are you all sad? We found the treasure! That's what we were looking for right?" Evalyn sighed and didn't look in his direction. "Sure we found it..... but it wasn't what I was..........expecting....." Jr put his hand on her shoulder. "What do you mean? What's wrong??" Evalyn smiled slightly as she realized something. "We may have found a treasure..... but-" She turned to Jr looking at him directly stringing the first half of the necklace around his neck. "It took me til now to realize I already had my treasure~" Jr was completely dumbfounded before he found himself being embraced in Evalyn's arms. He turned bright red still slightly confused. "Thanks for not leaving me~" Were the last words she spoke holding him. Slowly he wrapped his own arms around her. "Yo......You're welcome~ <3" He replied smiling as he held her gently while the ship slowly made it's decent home.
