Theme Song: Shut Me Up by Mindless Self Indulgence www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB9siwnSaiY&feature=fvst
Image Colors: Indigo #2E0854 Gray11 #1C1C1C
Symbol: Purple circles each with glowing eyes, one with an M marked over it and the other with an L, for their names.
Weapons: They each have a small mallet they use, similar to the Mario Brothers weapon of choice.
Strengths: Mako and Lukas can cling onto shadows of objects and people, moving along with it or manipulating the shadow to their own devices. They can also sink into the ground to avoid attacks. They also possess a few of the Mario Brothers jumping and running skills, as it was of course, their shadows they attached themselves to.
Weaknesses: Their fear of Flopside is immense; they can also be damaged as long as they can’t protect themselves by hiding, so they should be fought in an area where there are no shadows for them to cloak themselves in.
Personality: Mako and Lukas are twins so many of their personality traits are similar. They’re both loud, rude, obnoxious boys who enjoy causing trouble and mayhem throughout the surface world. They both feed off one another’s antics. If one is being naughty, the other will have little restraint in joining the other. However a few differences alert one into telling the two apart. Lukas is a little calmer than Mako and would rather talk himself out of a fight, while Mako is easily excitable and hyper and would rather solve things violently. The two are inseparable and even go as far as finishing each other’s sentences sometimes.
They’ll mock and jeer at their opponent but when it comes right down to it, the only thing they’re scared of is being sent back to Flopside as gooey formless shadows.
History: Mako and Lucas were shadows living in the dimension of Flopside. They wanted nothing more than to escape their dreary surroundings and head to the surface world of the Mushroom Kingdom to cause a little chaos to ease their boredom.
One day, a thief approached them claiming she had a way for them to escape Flopside, and that she would teach them how if they obeyed her commands and served her afterwards. They of course agreed, and Queen-B enveloped them both using her magic scepter. She explained that she’d casted a spell on them, and they were able to grab onto the shadows of the surface world above and from those shadows, appear into the Mushroom Kingdom. The twins happened to catch sight of the Mario Brothers shadows and latched onto them. When they awoke in the surface world, they were no longer formless globs of shadow, but had taken on characteristics of the Mario Brothers shadows, such as being clothes in their overalls and caps, and having heads arms and limbs. Although they were still shadowy purple in color, they were able to retain form, and thusly able to commit crimes throughout the kingdom.
Queen-B soon approached them on the surface world and explained to them that the magic wouldn’t last forever, and they needed to replace themselves in Flopside with the ones of the shadows they’d taken, or they’d be sent back. Frightened, they scrambled to try and send the Mario Brothers back in their place but it was of no use, they weren’t strong enough to defeat them. Queen-B explained that she’d enable them to stay on the surface world, but for a price, they’d lose all their shadow powers, meaning they wouldn’t be able to turn back into shadows again. They didn’t have much room for choice, as she took their powers anyway and used them for herself, creating a large shadow guardian for herself to protect her and help her steal valuables.
Mako and Lukas still retain the ability to sink into the ground to protect themselves, but nothing else. They continue to run about the kingdom, causing as much mayhem as they can, but the thought of Queen-B sending them back to Flopside still haunts them
