 I finally have a style that doesn't suck!  To be honest, I have two other deviations of this style, except the first one is two of someone else's OCs and the other might strike a nerve with the Roy fans... |

Well I imagine Ludwig had a super-srs face at first. Caine's like a mood-mirror, he's the kind of guy who snickers at funerals and yet never finds a joke amusing in any way.  |

I used a tablet as always. The key is using the pressure settings.

okay, but I'm asking what tool you used: the pen, the airbrush, brush, etc?
It kinda looks like Airbrush to me, but maybe it is a different thing, so yeah, wan XD *shot*

Well with GIMP I used a soft brush, and set it so the pressure affected density. Also the layer itself was only at 30% opacity. I only used the colour black for shading on this.
