We all have 'em. Some we'd rather forget and some we'll treasure forever. And of course, there's always the question of "Do we really forget? Or are they just buried somewhere deep within our mind?". Who knows. But in this topic, you can talk about any memories you have here. The negative, the positive and those inbetween.
If you don't wanna share the negatives, that's fine with me. Even I have some moments I'd rather not share.
I used to go to this one playground when I was little(it was before we moved)and I still remember some of the stuff at it. Two giant metal slides(I only went down the short one. The tall one scared the dickens out of me and the last time I tried it, I fell flat on my butt), monkey bars, a plastic black bridge that went from one platform to the other, slides on the platform, swings(I still love those)aaaannnd...that's all I can remember of it.
Those must've been the things I enjoyed the most.

I had a small Mario toy. It was a plushie toy. I looooved it so much. But when I was 7, I left it at Wal-Mart by accident, and I always cursed it because I thought Wal-Mart took it from me. That's probably why I don't feel comfortable shopping there. XD;
That is all! :3

Oh memories~ who doesn't love the good ones and learn from the bad one, wan~ I loved going to the playground but I always went to the swings or ran around or roll on the grass because I was too small for the monkey bars, and I was scared of the slide, wan XD
Well, I want to add bad ones because I feel like it :3 I was walking outside my house (before we moved) to my aunt's house (almost nect door) it was almost night, I still remember the park with a playground almost in front of my house... well, the thing is, I was awlaking all happy like and then suddenly I see a BIG cockroach on the floor and stop moving, I tried to move away from it but it actually FOLLOWED me, so I start running away and screaming... yep, I'm afraid of insects and despise those stupid thingies to this day -w-
Again in my past house, I was playing in the stair when I suddenly tripped and fell down them, it hurted a lot but I still don't mind them, just I'm more careful now because I have already tripped down them 2 times, wan owoU
Alright now good ones... When I was younger I used to go with my father to my grandma's house a lot, that place was hot as hell (almost...) so I usually played inside with my cousin, I remember that when it rained we asked our uncle and grandma to help us make paper boats and we made them sail under it in the puddles that formed in the yard, it was really fun to play with them and try to keep the boats from sinking, wan XD
Also, when I had 5 years old or something, my sister, cousin and me used to play in the Nintendo 64 Super Mario World, well, they used to play, I watched... I remember that once they passed me the control to play a level (First World, First Level (the one to the left from Yoshi's house)) and I ran head first into one of those purple-dragon-thingies, wan~ XDD It was the funniest kill I have ever done because I failed BADLY, wan :3

Amoung MANY a memories Pharaoh can recall.....I'd hafta say my time on my dad's old PC had to be some of the fondest. Games like Detective Barbie, 102 Dalmations Puppies to the Rescue, Freddi the Fish, Putt Putt, Barbie Horse Rider, Some Weird Mother Goose Fairytale game in which you had to go right all the wronged fairy tales and collect 30 something gold eggs to finish the game--, SOLITAIRE- seriously that was the SHIZ for me back then. XD
Aside from that there was Pico. Basically a really prehistoric 'tablet' in which you interacted with to play games on the screen. AWESOME STUFF. XDDD
And then there were my cycles of obsessions. I was 6 and given a Nintendo 64. There went the stage of Mario. I even dressed up as Mario in the 5th grade but nobody knew who I was. XDDDDD
Then there was rocks. Not just like, random ones mind you, but those fancy rocks with the long names that you see in the museums and they're all shiny and polished. THOSE kinda rocks. I used to know all the names and classes. It was so sad. XDDDD I even had a "rock farm."
Then there was baseball, basketball, and hockey cards. The foil-y and rainbow ones were a plus.~ X3
Long story short I went through, TY Beanie Babies, Jimmy Neutron, Sponegebob, 101 Dalmatians, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII, Mario AGAIN, and I think that's pretty much where I am now. o___o;

I remember the first time I played Mario. I was 5,or so,and I played Super Mario Bros. 3,on my dad's SNES. I instantly fell in love. When I was 6,I beat Bowser in SMW. I was SO happy~ I remember elementary school,when if I didn't get a concept,I'd have a major meltdown. I brought that until 4th grade.Then I decided to grow up. xD I have MANY more,but thats all i feel like saying now.

@mimsie: Aww man, I still remember playing all those Barbie games on my computer. XD I loved the Detective ones. IwaKitsune: I'm scared of insects, too. DX Especially roaches, spiders and bees(or anything with a stinger). They don't really freak me out if they're TINY tiny, but...yeah. Hmmm...lessee... I think I ALMOST had all the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousin dolls. Almost. They're probably still packed away in the attic. ...I got a skittles stuck up my nose once. I remember it was orange. I was little and I was pretending to be an elephant. Sooo...it was when me and my family were having a sleepover in the family room(TV was on, I remember that. I think it was showing Rocky and Bullwinkle, which I still love to this day)and we had some skittles nearby. So when that happened, they tried to get me to blow it out, which I did. XD Thank goodness, no hospital for me that night. I think I was...what, 3 or 4? One other thing I remember currently is that I loved re-enacting cartoon scenes. Especially the ones from Sonic the Hedgehog(the SATAM version). I always reenacted that one scene where Sonic is having his nightmare of Sally being roboticized. And I was Sally(she was my favorite character). That's all I remember now.

Well I had a VURY EXTENSIVE nostalgia based discussion with Miss Mimsie on old viceo game based memories~ x33 So I think I'll leave that part out of here for now only because it's hard to remember a lot of it. xD;;
Some of my most fondest memories aside from video games- are playlands .____.
There's TWO in particular I recall- both from McDonalds (of which they won't stop remodling and destroying my childhood by replacing it with a tiny lil cube in the corner of the room with a touch screen paint game ||||D)
Anyways, the first one was incredible and I mean incredible. If I went in it today if it was still there I'd swear it was in some sort of different gravity cause this thing just had these HUGE geometric type tubes which made you literally feel like you were walking on walls or the ceiling because as you went through they'd keep moving where the window was in the room from being just on the side- to being on the roof, and even the floor. And not just that- but this crazy place actually had the nerve to introduce me to Super Mario World by having a bunch of super nintendo's hooked up right next to it that you could play while waiting for your food to come~ <3 There was also a bunch of areas similar to like being in a fun house where there were these giant objects much like a car wash that you had to fight your way through to get to the ball pit.
The second one was a bit more scary than it was incredible xB There was this one tube where if you walk to far, the entire thing jerks on a hinge and makes you swear it's going to fall off. Another part of it was literally attached at the side of the entire play place and it had a plastic floor so you could look down and see your parents right below you eating while you were just panic stricken as your brother flailed around trying to get it to break off with you in it. >3>;; *coughcough* Many of the parts really involved a lot of sudden shaking or jerking of parts when you stepped on them, and even the occasional trick slide where it makes you think you can walk on it but you slip and fall to your doom in another ball pit~
Both of these places were in Michigan actually if anybody's ever been there c: One I believe was in Otsego (2nd one) and the other I know for a fact was in the Charlott/Battlecreek (1st one) area cause my grandma took me to it all the time.

Aw man, I remember going to one of those things!
I didn't wanna go down the slides because...I was scared, to be honest. XD I hated heights and I still do. XD And I think I got lost while my brother was exploring the thing.
That's the only thing I remember about it though. ...Considering that was the only time I've been in one.

I used to go to them all the time, and usually just to play- I never actually got the food. xDDDD
I'm still miffed that they had to tear them out and replace them with what the have now. Which from what I've seen is a few dippy touch screen game monitors in the corner of the room and a plastic tree to climb up :I
Even if Chuck E. Cheese sucks at making food at least they didn't remodel the carp out of the playlands. :V

*shudder* M-McDonald playland--- *OTL's*
I was a wee youngster and I INSISTED to my mom that I would play within that happy land whilst awaiting my McNuggets.
How NAIVE I was. *sob*
Once inside the plethora of twisty, multi colored tubes I was so caught up in my childish bliss I COMPLETELY LOST TRACK OF HOW TO GET BACK OUT AGAIN. It felt like the tube was growing smaller and smaller- MY AIR SUPPLY WAS CUTTING OFF-
Desperately I shoved my nose against the hole in the tube, as if trying to SMELL where I was but the whole restaurant smelled the same. ;___;
Finally I settled on wailing my little lungs out until my mom sent another girl up to get me seeing as she herself could not fit through the tubes. XDDDD
Another experience with the playlands at McDonalds--I jumped into the ball pit and refused to come out. The manager had to lure me out with ice cream. XDDDD
AS FOR CHUCKIE CHEESE-
<3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 FOREVER.
I don't even care how old I am, I will continue to come to this place. I even had my 16th birthday at it. I. LOVE. IT. Sadly enough, I even like their pizza. I haven't been there in a few years now though, my parents refuse to take me because they think it's wrong. XDDDDD

I actually thought their pizza was good, but my dad never gets me food there cause he says it tastes like rubber. xDDD
I WANT MY 16th AT CHUCKIES ;3;
I have yet to find one that's actually near my new house though. xDDD

I haven't been to Chuckie Cheese at ALL. I was going to go to one on my 8th or 9th birthday, but one of my family members got sick and we couldn't. I just got finished watching some Bucky O' Hare. I love that show. <3 I remember watching it a lot before I went to bed in my room. Ah, childhood~~. "Let's croak us some toads!"

I've got a lot of memories... I know this thread is kinda old, but I'd still like to share if I could... Okay, let's see... Uh... I think the best memory I have is my fourth birthday... (Yes folks, I CAN remember that far lol)
Picture this: A cold day in December. A small New Jersey town. 1994...
My father had been sick for several days with a slight cold and was relaxing at home. I was sitting looking out the window hoping for snow. He told me that he was going in to take a nap, and my mom insisted that I do the same. So we lie down and fall asleep... A few hours later, my mom comes in and wakes us up, and she says to me "I think you got your wish!" She opens up my bedroom blinds and lo and behold: SNOW!
I was pretty much on the verge of diving out of my bedroom window (It had already snowed a couple inches, so to a four year old it looked like a lot) when my dad takes me into the kitchen. Now, when it's your birthday, you expect a cake of course, especially when you're little. (Now, I'm lucky to get a candy bar ha ha ha) My parents didn't have much money, but while my dad and I were asleep, mom had gone to the neighborhood store and bought some cake mix, frosting, and a pack of birthday candles. Since she didn't have anything to decorate my cake with, she took pancake syrup and spelled out the words "Happy Birthday Elliot" on the cake!
Then she took four candles and put them on the cake for me, and well, my father, whose sense of distance was ALWAYS off a few inches, was holding me forward so I could reach the candles. Well, he leaned me so close to the candles that when I got to the fourth and final one, I went to blow it out and burned my lip! After a lot of apologizing from my dad, they finally got me calmed down again. Later that night, the snowstorm got worse and worse. My parents and I watched it come in and my mom noted that she thought she saw lightning! This blizzard had LIGHTNING! No lie!
The next day, we went out and I nearly drowned in the snow that fell into the door! This door was a good, I guess, four feet above the ground, and the snow was even above that! My dad, luckily, had a friend come by with a snow blower and that got most of the snow outta the way.
My dad, being a pretty artistic fellow, decided that as a birthday present to me he'd build me a big snow castle! And on top of that, just cause there was so much snow, he built a giant snowman that reached our upstairs apartment! (Which is also how he got the head onto it ;D ) So, I spent the whole afternoon in my giant snow castle, watching my dad and half the neighborhood build this giant snowman............
It's tough to think of my dad without thinking of that... Even tougher still now that he's gone... I don't think I'll forget that day though... Happiest I've ever been really...
