Moonview City

Mimi skipped along the highway, cars passing alongside her. A light breeze was blowing, the starry skies shining down on the streets. Her current objective was one of a lighthearted feeling stemming back to her childhood. She wanted to go to Moonview City. More importantly however, she wanted to see the beloved and critquely acclaimed musical, 'The Mushroom Moon.'

She stepped in between cars as they slowed down, approaching the toll booth. A few honked their horns in irritation at the young pink hatted form, slinking in front of their automobiles to walk up to the tellers.

"'Scuse me!" She called to a young male, waving a tiny hand at him. "How much to pay?" He regarded her with a confused glance but shrugged, pointing to the window which clearly stated '10' coins. She nodded and dug into her pockets for them, smacking them into his hand. "Thank you!~" She told him, running off towards the sidewalk, gazing at the large skyscrapers looming above her with awe. "Wow! It's so....." She couldn't think of a word for her surroundings, head craned far back to regard the various colored billboards and buildings. It was like a dream!

( Are you aware of the course on Mario Kart Wii called 'Moonvoew Highway'? Well remember passing through that toll booth into that mini city? X3 That's where she is.~ )

Toadette remembered this place! She raced here almost all the time. It was especially fun with many people, when there were many things to swerve around! She had to stop being a daredevil and whatnot. She wanted not to race today, though; she just wanted to sightsee the real things. She only drove by them during races. When she began observing things, the first thing that caught her eye was a big pink hat. It was shaped like Mario's!

She couldn't help but walk over to Mimi and tap her. Her hat was just so big and pink! Her favorite color~!

"I like your hat.~" she said with a grin.

Mimi was so caught up in the splendor of the city around her, she was rather startled when the Toad girl tapped her. Her shocked expression turned into one of joy however upon being complimented. She patted a hand to her cap, beaming. "Why thank you!~ I like it too, which is a good thing, or else I'd hafta go around wearing a hat I dinn't like all the time." She took great pride in her pink cap- it was a reminder to her of her dreams.

"Oh, uh, I know my way around~ mind if I show you?" Toadette was absolutely bored right about now too, so she didn't mind making a new friend while she was here in Moonview. "There's a loooot of stuff. They sell fruit somewhere too, this place is awesome.~"

Mimi nodded enthusiastically, excited about meeting someone new under these circumstances. She just knew the trip to Moonview would be worth it!~ " Oh awesome! Thanks so much. This is my first time EVER here. I've come to see the musical- the famous one." She pointed up at the billboard, as if the girl didn't already know.

"Eeee~!" she squealed with delight at the mention of the musical. She really wanted to see it. "We can see it together!" Wait, didn't she have to pay for that? She thought a moment, but grinned anyways. She looked up as Mimi did and grinned a lot more, "I wish Mario were REALLY in it~. Maybe he is~."

Evalyn trotted up the street apprehensively, shrieking as the horns of oncoming cars screamed at her. Not only was she forced to come see this play- but they made her go without her bike she they knew for a fact she wouldn't have an easy time coming back unless they picked her up, which she knew they weren't planning on til it was finished. "I still hate you people- OTL;;" She murmured towards those o so wonderful friends she just knew had to be following behind her. Even if she left the castle alone, they seemed to have a habit of always popping up near by.

Mimi clasped her hands together, making little squealing sounds in her throat. "Oh if only Mario was.~ I'd leap right up on stage I think to hug him!~ X3 " The sheer thought of meeting him in such a beautiful city was inspiring.

Junior had taken to grafiiting the side of the guardrails with a few spray cans he'd brought alone. He laughed, painting his trademark symbol on each guard rail and sign-post. Morton tagged along, he'd thought it was funny at first, but now sorta felt bad for whoever had to clean it up. Ah well! Not like it was gonna be him. He went into a slight jog to catch up with the object of his affections, and latched his hands around her middle from behind her. "Gotcha!~"

Evalyn wailed as she was grabbed suddenly, then looked up to a not so unexpected sight. "Don't DO that. >//////< It's bad enough you're making me come here anyways-" She whined, her cheeks becoming tinged. She didn't like attracting attention to herself unless she was hidden within a costume of sorts, like her racing uniform for example. She already was awkward as is having to go out in public at night in some busy city she'd never been too to see a play she'd never heard of. She didn't even know what a play was.

"Aww." He cooed down at her, nuzzling at her head. "Somebody's bein' a wittle baby." He pecked her cheek. "C'mon, where else do you hafta be? Ain't this kinda place romantic?~ Forget the crowds. Just lookit the sky.~" Anything to take her mind off of her clausterphobia in crowds. Morton leaned back, calling over his shoulder at Junior. "C'mon, you gonna paint people's cars all night or WHAT?!" Junior dropped a can as a burly man yelled at him from inside of his car. He ran to catch up with them, dried paint on his bandana and a devilish grin across his face.

(Totally random reference but Junior's symbol really IS on the guardrails in the course. Yay for totally obscure references. XDDD;;; )

(I noticed that, actually I've noticed in A LOT of places if you look close enough, the symbol changes to match whatever character you're using x3 And if it's a Mii then a lot of the statues and signs are replaced with heads of your Mii characters~)

Evalyn whimpered feeling like she was already defeated. Having that OTL expression written all over her. She decided to take his little advice and stare up. Surprisingly- despite all the lights of the city you could still see the stars above clear as day. It was somewhat relaxing to just look up at the moonlight and not think about all the chaotic hustle n' bustle of the traffic around them, not to mention the people. She was in a bit of a daze looking at the night sky, letting her arms dangle over Morton's gigantic hands. She didn't pay much mind to what Junior had been up to as her beet red face subsided.
